Experience That Shows

With 25+ years in construction, site work, and prior general contractor, I focus on grades, drainage, and final surfaces — not just moving dirt.

Owner-Operated Work

One point of contact from estimate through completion. The person you speak with is the person doing the work.

Stop Chasing Down Answers

As an owner-operator, you’re talking to the person doing the work — not a foreman, or an answering service.

  • You call me, not a dispatcher
  • Same-day response, every time
  • Written scope before work starts
  • Precision finish grading, no rework

Laser-Guided Building Pads & Finish Grading.

Laser-guided grading allows for highly accurate sub-grades suitable for gravel, residential house pads, and concrete surfaces.

When grade accuracy matters, laser systems help deliver consistent, repeatable and guaranteed results every time — especially on finish work and pad preparation.

  • Backfill & compaction after utility work
  • Finish grading before pavers or landscape rock
  • Yard regrading for drainage corrections
  • Gravel grading parking lots & driveways
  • Small pad prep for garages or casitas
  • Culvert & drainage swale work

Common Questions

Yes. I’m owner-operated, which means the person you speak with up-front is the same person doing the work until it’s done. That keeps communication clear, schedules tight, and quality consistent.

As a prior builder of luxury homes and light commercial projects, I have over 25 years of hands-on experience across multiple phases of construction, including site development, preparation, grading, and finish work. This includes having personally done all phases of new construction from start to finish, including concrete, framing, drywall, finish carpentry and site work. That background gives me a clear understanding of the site prep and grading from both sides of the process.

Prices can vary a lot based on scope, access, import/export materials & handling, and finish requirements. Smaller projects may start in the low thousands, while larger or more precise grading work (with laser systems) can increase costs significantly.

It’s never just about a guy running a machine…

Excavation can be expensive because running this business means paying for heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, fuel, commercial insurance, licensing fees, laser systems, tools that break, maintenance that never stops, parts, grease, service intervals, and of course materials needed — all before we even move any dirt.

Then there’s the skill. Grading a pad wrong, or missing drainage, can cost a homeowner tens of thousands down the road. You’re not paying just for a hole in the ground or smoothing out some dirt. You’re paying for it to be right the first time.

Yes. We can do backfill, finish grading, short utility trenches, gravel driveway restoration, and drainage corrections — not just full site prep & pad builds. A one-day minimum applies to all jobs. See the Fast Jobs page for details on what fits and how to get a quick quote.

Yes. I work with homeowners, builders, and contractors on residential and light commercial projects, including finish grading and site preparation where accuracy and coordination matter.

Scheduling depends on project scope and current workload. Sometimes I can slide in smaller projects into the schedule sooner, while larger or more complex work may require additional lead time. I communicate timelines clearly so you can plan accordingly.

Yes, since we don’t do smaller jobs, my projects require enough room to access the work area with grading or excavation equipment. We usually need a minimum width of 72″ for access. If you’re unsure, send photos of any gate(s), side access, driveway, and work area before scheduling a site visit.

Is Your Project a Good Fit?

AccuDirt is built for equipment-based grading, trenching, drainage, driveway, and site-prep work.
Here are a few things that help determine whether your project is a good fit.

Equipment Access

Most projects need about 72″ of clear, safe access for equipment. That can vary by scope, so if you’re not sure, just ask.

Right-Sized Projects

AccuDirt is built for grading, trenching, drainage work, gravel driveways, and pad prep — anywhere equipment can work efficiently.

Small Backyard Areas

Tight side yards, finished patios, steps, or hand-work-only spots often aren’t a fit for equipment-based grading.

Not Sure? Send Photos

Snap photos of your gate, access path, and work area. I’ll let you know quickly if the project makes sense.
